Regular readers of this website would know that I have suffered from blackheads, pimples and a lot of rough patches as mentioned in my article What Honey did to my face. And everyday is a struggle to get the best products and facial routines to help smoothen my face and clear out the blackhead. Honey did work but I find myself in a place where I do not have access to natural honey. It is never advisable to use processed honey so I stopped that routine and found a routine more suitable and easily accessible to me.
This new routine has more steps than the previous one but it is giving me better results, hence why I have decided to share after seeing improved results after two months. Although, I maintained one of my routines which is the deep cleansing using a scrub. Please note, skin types are different and this does not mean it would work for everyone but if you have ever suffered from blackheads and pimples, you might want to give it a go.
I start off my week using my Cera Ve SA Smoothing Cleanser with Salicylic Acid. I wet my face first, they apply it round my face placing emphasis of areas with blackheads and pimples if there is any. I leave it for a few minutes then rinse it off with warm water and dry my face with my face towel.
Note: use a different towel from the one you use for your body. This is to prevent taking dirt from the body to the face, thereby causing further blockage to the pores. Afterwards, I apply my Vitamin E Skin Care Intense Moisture Cream to keep my face moisturized.
Before heading to bed at night, I use my Garnier SkinActive Micellar Rose Water Cleanse & Glow to remove any dirt that would have accumulated on my face all day. I do this every day except days I have my night shower just before bed.
I wet my face and apply my Vitamin E Skin Care Gentle Oatmeal Exfoliator and gently rub and scrub all over my face. I leave it for a few minutes and then rinse off with warm water. Dry my face with the flannel and apply my Vitamin E Skin Care Intense Moisture Cream.
Please note, I only use this cream for my face because it comes in a small package and I use a different cream for my body.
Tuesday is a repeat of Sunday. However, on the days I stay at home I do not always apply the face cream. This allows my face to breathe.
Same as Sunday and Tuesday.
I rinse my face with warm water and use my flannel to dry it. This allows my face to breathe from chemicals and products.
I rinse my face with warm water and use a face cotton pad to wipe it. Afterwards I use my Garnier SkinActive Micellar Rose Water Cleanse & Glow to clean my face and rub my Vitamin E Skin Care Intense Moisture Cream.
Same as Monday.
My most used product is the Cera Ve SA Smoothing Cleanser and that is because of the Salicylic Acid, a comestician from Boots had advised me to always use products with Salicylic Acid for my face because I am prone to pimples. Try out my new facial routine and tell me your experience. Please note, I am not a beauty specialist or a dermatologist. I have just struggled with my face for a while and I finally feel like my face is clearly up and I feel more confident about my face. Also note, I will advise not to use makeup everyday but only when necessary. I go weeks, sometimes months without putting makeup especially because I know the effect of excessive makeup and cosmetic products usage.
